As part of our dynamic and growing Paint Channel Team, you will be our key representative working with independent paint stores in Louisana, Alabama, and Mississippi. Bring your strong sales experience to strategically manage the overall Paint Channel business - growing our current business and aggressively uncover new business.

  • 2 - 4 years of previous outside sales experience is required.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License and have maintained a motor vehicle record within acceptable limits as prescribed by Rust-Oleum.
  • Prior sales experience within the given geographic territory preferred.
  • Prior experience in a sales service role with demonstrated success in customer retention.
  • Availability to work and travel within assigned territory 50-75% of time. Periodic evening and weekend hours required for trade organization meetings and customer events.
  • Previous coatings experience strongly desired, industrial coatings a plus.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage dealer sales through sales process, tools and resources required to sell Rust-Oleum. Make independent and joint end-user sales calls. Promotes Rust-Oleum sales strategy and value proposition to dealer & end-users. Prospects for new end users. Trains dealer personnel and end users.
Manage customers in Louisiana, Mississippi and Alabama territory by analyzing unique dealer program. Identify dealer strengths, weaknesses and capabilities.
Aggressively uncovers new Rust-Oleum sales opportunities.
Work collaboratively with Marketing to identify product and program needs.
Resolve customer complaints regarding sales and service.
Utilize technology to effectively manage time
Determine price schedules and discount rates
Build relationships throughout the Dealer & Contractor Organizations
Develop written specifications
Dealer Sales Flyers, Rust-Oleum Product Promotions
Work with Dealer Sales Force to Make System Recommendations and Secure Project Business
Has strong focus on Industrial Products, resinous flooring systems, restoration and primers.
